Vocalist Stephen Fontaine “Steff” and Kirk Krein, songwriter, bass player etc. both played in the bands Straight Shooter and Alien from 1976 through late 1979. Fontaine went on as the lead vocalist with Joshua and Uriah Heep fame soon there after.
Krein has been writing songs for the past five years along with guitarist Tom Vanderginst when out of the blue comes a phone call from Fontaine, after finding the Out There website several months ago.We talked, tested the waters on a couple Out There songs, RoadKill Cafe and Caught In A Dream, ultimately, we decided to go for it!
We are both very excited to be working side by side again after all these years! It’s like a musical match made in heaven!
Not sure where it will take us, but it sure seems like it was meant to be and most importantly, we are having fun doing it, that’s the main ingredient!
